Communities are our special interest groups for faculty who want to connect with others who have similar interests. Each of our three Communities, Clinical ExcellenceResearch and Educationprovide skill building workshops, networking sessions and opportunities to participate in planning future Community efforts. Why should I join a Community?

Communities provide a unique opportunity to become more involved in your department, supplying forums for leadership, communication, and education. They foster personal and professional development and afford collaboration and networking. Joining a Community provides the gateway to involvement in our department.

What are the main goals of Communities?

Communities promote interdisciplinary, multi-site interaction through learning and networking opportunities as well as regular newsletters – all specifically created by the Community, for the Community. View the pages for Clinical Excellence, Education and Research for additional information. 

How are Communities structured?

The structure of each Community includes a chair, steering committee, staff liaison, and general membership. Each Community is represented on the main Faculty Development Committee as well.
