Biography

Dr. Sarah Johnson joined the renal medicine faculty on a part-time basis as an assistant professor as of December 1, 2015. She graduated from University of Virginia as a civil engineer and worked in industry until she decided upon a career change and completed a post-baccalaureate program and then graduated from Temple University SOM in 2008. Dr. Johnson was an internal medicine resident at Emory from 2008-2011 and then worked for a year as a hospitalist in the Atlanta area before starting her renal fellowship at Emory in 2012. She was chief renal fellow her second year of fellowship and after graduation in June 2014, she joined a previous Emory fellow in practice in Athens as a part-time nephrologist until starting back at Grady in December, 2016.
