Mentorship contributes significantly to job performance and satisfaction. The Emory Division of Hospital Medicine is committed to promoting strong mentoring relationships for Division faculty.
We assist all newly hired hospitalists in finding a mentor within 6 months of hire. The mentee-mentor pair meets at least twice a year to create goals and review progression towards existing goals. The mentor reviews the mentee’s CV at least once a year. Each hospitalist should seek a mentor that s/he believes will respect and promote their professional goals.
