Staff Education, Enrichment and Development

The mission of Project SEED is to foster and encourage the professional development of staff, as well as strengthen our sense of community within the DOM, by providing learning opportunities, assisting in skill development and enhancing communication.

As we develop more programs and activities, we will post them here - so check back often!

dDepartment of Medicine Staff Awards and Recognition Celebration 2008

Over 90 staff members enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with collegiality and excitement. In the festively decorated Winship Ballroom, we heard about the Department’s successes and plans for the future from Meridith Rentz, DOM Vice Chair of Administration and Dr. Wayne Alexander, DOM Chair. SOM Executive Associate Dean of Administration and Faculty Affairs, Dr. Claudia Adkison, also spoke about the importance of staff contributions and the leadership DOM exhibits in creating a department of excellence.

The Department had 30 University Service Award recipients, ranging from 5 years of service to 40 years! Click here for names and photos.
