Post-doctoral Fellowship Position - Emory University Division of Cardiology

Emory University School of Medicine is a world-class health care institute, with cutting-edge research programs.  We currently have an opening for a post-doctoral fellowship in basic research in the Division of Cardiology.  Our researchers have vibrant programs focused on the role of reactive oxygen species in hypertension and atherosclerosis, as well as on endothelial progenitor cell biology and regenerative cell therapy for heart failure and myocardial infarction.  Strong collaborations with the nanotechnology research group at Georgia Institute of Technology further enhance our program.  Our program encompasses a broad range of methodologies, including molecular and cell biology, genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, electron spin resonance, cell and small animal physiology, and molecular imaging.

We are seeking recent PhD or MD/PhD graduates with experience and publications in the fields of cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or physiology.

This position will be supported by an NIH T32 Training Grant and is available July, 2009.  U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for NIH Training Grant positions.
